Archive research
Locate, compare and catalogue palace, family, press, mission and government records.
Ofori Panin FieOkyeman digital archive initiativeArchive development and funding
Partnership conversations can begin while the archive is being built. No contribution should be represented as a Palace donation, official levy or Ofori Panin Fie fundraising campaign without written institutional authority.
The responsible route
The project may prepare proposals, budgets and sponsorship discussions now. Before money is accepted, the recipient, governance, reporting duties, intellectual-property terms and handover plan must be written clearly. Any future Palace-authorised campaign must be separately identified and approved.
What support can enable
Each workstream should have a costed scope, named delivery owner, evidence of expenditure and a publishable progress report.
Locate, compare and catalogue palace, family, press, mission and government records.
Scan photographs, programmes, speeches and documents; create preservation masters and access copies.
Record custodians, elders, families and office holders with consent, transcripts and review controls.
Document creators, permissions, cultural restrictions and permitted public uses.
Secure hosting, backups, accessibility, search, staff training and an orderly institutional handover.
Support local fieldwork, metadata, Akan-language review and verification with recognised authorities.
Before accepting funds
Partnership readiness
Prospective supporters can review the sources, open research needs and verification method before a formal funding pack and authorised contact channel are published.
